Hahah! I knew someone who did this. She would always one-up other moms with her twins. She had them reading at age 3 and writing in cursive by age 5! I mean, I get wanting to have smart kids and all but I would never want to over pressure my kids to be the “best”. It is funny how we women know how to be mothers instinctively but our own personalities come out in the way we raise them.

My goodness, we all know a couple of these, don’t we? I’ve found out the best way to deal with them is to smile, and nod. Seeing as how my kids have gotten 1st place trophies, I honestly don’t feel the need to bring it to anyone’s attention. :/ God bless them. They do try so hard.

OMG! This reminds me of the mom who had her four-year-old enrolled in ballet classes and got a tutor!! I thought, “Wow, is this really serious at four years old?” But that wasn’t the worst part. As soon as humanly possible, she enrolled her kid in swimming and karate classes and tried to get her into a competitive track.
Thank goodness the kid took all this in stride. Hmm, I think the kid was more mature about it than the Mom!! LOL!

We all know this mom! She wants to be the best, and is convinced that both she and her kids are perfect. Very funny.
